When I started to suspect I was on the autistic spectrum, I was experiencing a lot of acute stress, partially brought on by others and myself not having understood some of my behaviours. Dr. Allen was thorough and wrote a very kind letter to me when I finally received confirmation that I am autistic. While the process was emotionally challenging due to complex life circumstances, he made it as pain-free as possible. His letter wrote less like a diagnosis and more like a short 30-year life story. It was very validating and I felt seen. I’m really grateful he was able to provide me with what I needed so I can start really living my life joyfully again.
