He has a particular interest in understanding the emotional impact of various intersectional identities including physical health needs, LGBTQ+, emigration and culture. He sees his psychiatrist role as one of a number of important ingredients, supporting his patients’ growth and recovery.

Dr Ben Lucas has worked as a full time general adult psychiatrist in the NHS for over twenty years. He has also worked in New Zealand as a forensic psychiatrist and currently works part time in offender care for the NHS. He has treated patients with a wide range of psychiatric conditions including anxiety and depression. Dr Lucas has a particular interest in people with medically unexplained symptoms.
Dr Nada Al-Asadi
