Work with us
If you are a mental health professional and would like to work privately but don’t know where to begin, look no further than Phoenix.
Although we are a relatively young outfit, we have the benefit of working in association with the inpatient and day hospital services of the Cardinal Clinic – a very well respected hospital which has served the environs of east Berkshire and beyond for over 30 years.
Our dream is to meld the best of the NHS with the best of private practice – without unnecessary bureaucracy.
We are keen to expand the range of therapies we can offer – albeit only those which are evidence-based and have a well-recognised professional background.
Practitioners who would like to work at our Wooburn Green rooms are welcome to speak to Danny Allen on 0870 162 0673 (calls cost 2 pence per minute, plus your phone company’s access charge) and come and look around and have a chat.
However, not all our therapists work at the rooms and we would also love to hear from you if you would like to be associated with our brand but work further afield. We already have a number of therapists working in Northampton, Oxford and Amersham, for example.
We can help you to access appropriate premises and provide administrative assistance as well ensuring there is a manager available when your patients ring up. We are not in the business of profiting from your labours. Our business model is based on sharing resources to improve the quality of care for the patient and to ease the lives of professionals.
Most of our therapists are part time – most have busy NHS jobs so we can cater for out of hours as well as in hours appointments. So whether you want to work in Wooburn Green or elsewhere, give us a ring and have a chat with Danny Allen on 0870 162 0673 (calls cost 2 pence per minute, plus your phone company’s access charge) or email him at workwithus@phoenix-mhs.com
Work Experience
Dr Danny Allen is sometimes able to offer work experience to students in years 12 and 13 or at university. You don’t need to have any particular career plans, just an interest in psychiatry. If you are at school and are thinking about a career in psychiatry, you may like to read this page from the Royal College of Psychiatrists.
Please contact Kathryn Lodge on enquiries@phoenix-mhs.com with a copy of your CV (we realise this may be quite rudimentary but it’s a good opportunity to create one!), email and mobile number and say a few words about what you would like and over what timeframe.
We do not have anymore shadowing experience available in 2019.
